Fun in the Sun...

We just took a fun little trip to Disneyland. We left last Thursday and drove there, spent Friday, Saturday & Sunday in the park and then drove back home Monday. We even spent some time at Newport Beach. Steve's parents came with us and I hope they had a good time. It was an exhausting drive home, but overall we had a great time!

More Valentine's fun

The kids had fun making heart-shaped cakes and decorating them Sunday night (thanks mom for the cake pan!).

Emily got quite the loot at school - when Steve came home for lunch she said "look at all my cavities" and showed him her piles of candy.

Before & after...

We went skiing yesterday and I realized, once again, just how old I'm getting. My body aches from head to toe today. We had a lot of fun, but skiing is a lot of work with kids. Ryan is a natural, and Em is very determined to be good at it. Notice how excited Em is in the first shot - ready to take on the hill. On our first run, she and I got tangled up and had "words" on the hillside. She was crying and saying "I want to go hoooome". Then by the time we got to the bottom she was saying "Skiing sure is fun!" They were both troopers and I was proud of them!

Valentine's Box!

My mom sends Ryan & Em a Valentine's box each year, and it is the highlight of their year. They were so excited about opening it, neither of them could sleep for days before!

Fun project...

Emily's teacher asked me to make a valentine's card for each child in her class to send home to their parents. I took a picture of each child and made a card like this one. They were fun to make and turned out pretty cute - all 28 of them! I hope the parents enjoyed getting them (I know I did!)
