Today is Ryan's first day of school. He was very excited - and very prepared. He had his outfit planned, and his lunch and backpack packed for days. He wanted to call his friends at 7:15 this morning to make plans for riding their bikes together! He (painfully) waited until 8:15 to call them.
Emily has also been ready for quite a while. This setup is just for her kindergarten assessment! She doesn't start until August 31, so needless to say there has been much weeping and wailing because Ryan got to start before her.

5th grade does not hold good memories for me... it's the year I had the terrible Mr. Jeppsen as a teacher! Hope things are better at your house :-)
